VARANASI: A spiritual weapon against terrorism as well as communal hatred is in the offing. Muslims across the country will go for mass recital or 'amal' of sacred prayer 'Ayat-e-Kareema' from February 18 to 25 for peace and communal harmony as well as relief from ISIS threat and tranquility on borders.
It was resolved on the concluding day of the national executive meeting of the Muslim Rashtriya Manch here on Thursday.
The amal of Ayat-e-Kareema consists of reciting Tasbi E Yunus about 125000 times with one common purpose and intention over a period of time. This amal could be done by a single person individually over a period of days and weeks or could be done in a group in a single sitting or over a period of time till the count of 125000 is complete. The count of 125000 has been prescribed by various saints based on their wisdom and experience, and several people have benefited from this amal, and through this amal one could fulfill any need or resolve any problem.
"For the first time such a mass practice of Ayat E Kareema will be observed in the country for the benefit of humanity," said the MRM patron and senior RSS functionary Indresh Kumar. In Varanasi alone the event will be held at 101 places including madarsas and religious places during this period.
The dua (prayer) reads as 'La ilaha illa anta, Subhanaka, Inni kuntu minaz-zalimin' (There is none worthy of Worship besides You, You are far exalted and above all weaknesses, Surely, I' am from among the wrongdoers). By reciting this Ayat people will pray for the end of communal hatred, check on infiltration, relief from terrorism/ISIS threat, and end of evil forces, he said adding that it is for the benefit of society and the nation.
The MRM also resolved to begin a campaign to spread awareness against cow slaughter. Through this campaign people will be educated about the harmful effect of beef eating and benefits of cow milk consumption in light of Islamic scriptures. Through this campaign milk will also be distributed time to time to spread awareness among the masses. The MRM would continue the publication of the book -'Islam aur Gai'. Political leaders are requested to refrain from misguiding people on this issue for political gains, he said.
The MRM also resolved to make appeal to Muslim leaders and political parties to extend their support in construction of Ram Mandir at Ayodhya. Kumar said that Rama is the ancestor of all Indians, it is the responsibility of all to show respect to him.
