Well done, Ms Osaka! The kid is looking like a future Major winner. Imagine the street parties around Japan should Osaka and Nishikori shock the world and do the double - no-one will turn up for work for a week!

She's been in the news the past couple of days, but in part pointing directly to the fact that she is very suddenly the focus of media attention. In interviews yesterday she met heaps of Japanese media but spoke in English (at least from what I read), and struggles with Japanese. I wish her every success as well (including with the language).

Watched the highlights - wow - she is powerful.
Hope to see more of her over the season & years.

That would be a sight! However this is the only place I've been to that nothing changes on the streets when anything major goes down. I'm a season ticket holder and last year Gamba Osaka won the TREBLE! The treble people after coming from division 2! That is something!!
And yet on the train home were just announcements, some old people, a drunk salaryman, a few smartphones with legs....hush....

Are you trying to be funny? Because it's not working.
John-San
No, Just stating a fact, My partner is Japanese. In winter she has is quite fair but a few days in the summer sun like when we go back to Australia her shin tans just like miss Naomi Osaka. Kai Nishikore also has a great tan . this is due to continuing the international circuit and spending most of year in the summer months. I bet both are like my partner.

It probably has something to do with her having a Haitian-American father, if we had to hazard a guess.
John-San
Yes you would be totally correct
