Traffic police fine errant bikers, give free helmets on Mumbai-Ahmedabad Highway
Around 500 helmets and a few reflected jackets have been distributed among errant bikers in the last few days
MUMBAI: Helmetless two-wheeler riders are in for a shock and surprise between Dahisar and Manor on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Highway. After imposing a fine on the offenders, the traffic police give them a helmet, at no charge. Around 500 helmets and a few reflected jackets have been distributed among errant bikers in the last few days. The free helmets are sponsored by Wockhardt Hospital in Mira Road.
