Mimi chases goons, gets them arrested
Actress Mimi Chakraborty not only chased down the car which hit a bike in front of her eyes late on Sunday night, but also beat up the culprits and got them arrested. She is in a state of shock after witnessing the gruesome road accident near Teghoria while on her way back home.
Recounting the incident, Mimi told us, I was returning in my car after a show with Dev at Chakda around 11.30 pm when I saw a car hitting a bike.
The body of the biker was dragged by the culprits' car for 3-4 km before they halted in Lake Town. Not a single car or person stopped by to help."
Like a good Samaritan, Mimi decided to chase the car and bring the lawbreakers to book. There were two men in the car who looked drunk. They pleaded with me to forgive them but I lost my cool and started hitting them along with my bouncers.
The actress then called up her lawyer who alerted the Lake Town police station. An official from Baguihati police station informed the case is being forwarded to court. Raju Banerjee and Brojo Banerjee were in the car (WB 06C 3126). Rakesh Agarwal, 42, who was riding the bike, is in a critical condition at a city hospital," he informed. We heard that the culprits have been booked under IPC's Section 308, which is non-bailable. Instead of helping the victim, people stopped by to click my pictures, a traumatised Mimi said.
