Non-Bodos call bandh in BTAD against PM visit

The Sanmilita Janagosthiya Ekya Manch, a confederation of non-Bodo organisations in Bodoland Territorial Areas District (BTAD), prevented vehicles carrying supporters of Narendra Modi from travelling to Kokrajhar where PM will address a rally on Tuesday.
The manch has called 12-hour strike in BTAD, an area administered under sixth schedule of the constitution, in protest against PM visit.
The manch alleged that Modi has ignored the rights and security of non-Bodos who are in majority in BTAD.
