MADC gives 63crore push to Mihan
Nagpur: The board of Maharashtra Airport Development Company (MADC) on Monday sanctioned 33.2 crore for completing the infrastructure of Mihan project affected persons (PAPs) colony. MADC needs to relocate residents of Shivangaon to the colony for completing the taxiway. As the colony’s infrastructure is not complete, Shivangaon residents have refused to move to it.
MADC has also approved 30crore for the extension of the link taxiway connectivity at Mihan.

MADC board also approved appointment of consultants for proposed sewage treatment plant and convention centre in Mihan.
These issues were discussed during the meeting of task force on Mihan, headed by union transport minister Nitin Gadkari, held in Nagpur some days ago.
However, Shivangaon PAPs are unlikely to relocate to the colony only if the government completes the infrastructure. The state cabinet had sanctioned 740 crore for giving a better deal to the PAPs in July 2015. However, a government resolution in this regard is yet to be issued. Consequently, the PAPs are yet to get extra compensation. PAP leader Baba Dawre had recently said that he would launch an agitation to expose the false claims of the government.
