Penang defend their ‘dismal’ pre-season form


GEORGE TOWN: The M-League season has not started yet, but Penang manager Mohd Azizudin Shariff has already been forced to issue a written statement to the fans defending the team’s dismal showing in pre-season friendlies.

The Panthers, who are returning to top-flight football after a five-year absence, lost to lower-division opponents Felcra United 1-3 and Kuala Lumpur 0-1 recently in Penang.
