Prithviraj to be a part of the most expensive film in Mollywood?

Baahubali has truly changed the face of Indian cinema. After the massive success of the SS Rajamouli epic, other filmmakers are striving to emulate his example. And it looks like Mollywood will be the first to follow this path. An ambitious project is on the cards and actor Prithviraj has been roped in to play the lead. The Malayalam star, along with director RS Vimal have announced a new project titled as Karnan. As the title suggests, it is going to be a period film possibly on the Mahabharata. Rumor has it that it is going to be the most expensive Mollywood film. What gives some weight to this rumor is that the very announcement of the movie was made in a very grand scale in a hotel in Dubai. The actor released the news on his official Facebook page along with an official motion poster. The casting other than Prithviraj is yet to be finalized. Cinematographer KK Senthil Kumar who shot Baahubali will be filming Karnan. Venu Kunnapilly, who is producing the magnum opus has assured that the team will receive unlimited budget. The massive budget and Baahubali cinematographer has created quite a buzz in the industry. It is certainly exciting to see that more and more films are adopting Hollywood style of film making in terms of style and grandeur. Hopefully, the movie is very good also because an extravagant budget doesn't guarantee success at the box office.
