Uganda: Daku Beats Hungarian to World Title

Kampala — For his physic, athleticism, record, power, age and experience, Netherlands-based boxer Farouk Daku, enjoying the lively support of the home crowd at Nakivubo Parking lot, looked a clear knockout favourite. But Hungarian journeyman Jozsef Kormany, his opponent for the World Boxing Forum (WBF) super middleweight title on Sunday morning, stood the distance.

Right from the onset, Daku, 30, looked destined for an easy victory, because 18-year old Kormany did not pose any physical threat.
