Two unidentified miscreants fire at RSS Shakha organiser in Ludhiana

Two unidentified miscreants opened fire at the organiser of a RSS Shakha at a park in Kidwai Nagar here Monday early morning. The attack happened minutes before the organiser was to start the Shakha at the same park.

LUDHIANA: Two unidentified miscreants opened fire at the organiser of a RSS Shakha at a park in Kidwai Nagar here Monday early morning. The attack happened minutes before the organiser was to start the Shakha at the same park.
As per reports, Naresh Kumar of same area was making preparations for the daily Shakha activity when he spotted an unidentified person wearing a monkey cap at 6.30 am on Monday.
As he asked about his antecedents, the latter told him that he is waiting for someone after which Naresh went to get flags etc from the building nearby.
Reports suggest that after he returned he again found the same person standing there and asked him again about his purpose of being there. The miscreants then fired at him but the bullet reportedly missed its target.
The miscreant tried to fire second time at Naresh but the pistol reportedly didn't work after which the attacker fled from the spot and rode away with his accomplice on a motorbike.
Senior police officers reached the spot and started investigations.
No person has been injured in an incident of firing at an RSS Shaka in Kidwai Nagar, Ludhiana today morning at 6.32 am, police said, adding one cartridge case of 0.32 bore pistol has been recovered from the spot.
A case FIR No. 07 dated 18-01-2016 u/s 307/336 IPC, 25/27 Arms Act has been registered in police station Division No. 2, Ludhiana. All efforts are being made by Ludhiana police to work out the case.
Narinder Bhargav, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana is supervising the investigations.
