38 IPS officers shifted in major shake-up

Ahmedabad: Soon after BJP national president Amit shah leaving for Delhi after his three-day visit to Gujarat, the state government rolled out transfers of 38 IPS officers.
Possibly to bridge the communication gap between police and public, and keeping in mind BJP's poor show in rural local body elections, nine SPs posted in 10 districts were Gujaratis.Not only that, woman power was also evident in the list of transfers. Five woman IPS officers got plum postings, with some them transferred from remote districts to power centres in cities.
Except Shobha Bhutda, who was shunted to SRP as commandant of group 17 in Chela in Jamnagar from the post of Bharuch SP , the other five women IPS officers got relatively good postings.
It is worthy to note that the murder of two BJP leaders, Si , rish Bengali and Pragnesh s Mistry , in Bharuch, had crea ted a huge hue and cry. ATS SP Himanshu Shukla has repla ced Bhutda, while Amreli SP Mayur Chavda has been pos ted as ATS SP .
Parixita Rathod was pos ted from Western Railway to DCP Zone-2 Surat , Saroj Ku mari from ASP Surat (rural) to SP Botad, Usha Rada from SP Mahisagar to DCP Zone-3 Ahmedabad, Archana Shiv hare from SRP Group 8 to CID crime in Gandhinagar and Gangandeep Gambhir, who played a major role in arres ting PAAS leader Hardik Pa tel, from Rajkot in October 2015, was posted as DCP Zone-3 Surat.
Apparently , the posting of district SPs, too, had a Gujara ti flavour. Nilesh Jangadia was posted as SP Junagadh, Makrand Chauhan as SP Kutch, R J Parghi from SRP to SP Devbhoomi Dwarka, Ma noj Ninama from SRP to SP Dahod, R F Singada from Va dodara Prison to SP Surendranagar, R V Asari from Surend ranagar to Panchmahal, K N Damor from Surat to Aravalli; accused in Sohrabuddin and Ishrat Jahan encounters, NK Amin from SCRB to SP Mahisagar, and R P Barot from Ah medabad to SP Amreli.
Amin, Ninama, Parghi get plum postings
Narendra K Amin, accused in Sohrabuddin and Ishrat Jahan encounters, who recently rejoined police after a long suspension, was posted as SP Mahisagar.
Manoj Ninama, whose name popped up during the inquiry into the recent police recruitment scam for allegedly trying to push in two of his candidates became Dahod SP, and R J Parghi, during whose tenure a 213-ft tunnel was dug in February 2013, and who was also made an accused for filling up the tunnel, was posted as SP Devbhoomi Dwarka.
