He said the delay in constitution of the anti-corruption ombudsman had questioned the Centre's "intention and credibility" to tackle graft. 13 peacocks poisoned
Thirteen peacocks have been reportedly killed by a gang of poachers in the past three days near the Bansi forest check post of the district. While seven peacocks were poisoned to death on Saturday, six others were killed on Thursday, said locals. PTI

Leopardess found dead
A leopardess was found dead near a drain at Dhanwahi village under the Umaria forest range on Saturday night, an official said on Sunday. After post-mortem, the viscera samples of the feline were sent for examination to a laboratory in Sagar district, Shahdol Chief Conservator of Forests Sunil Kumar Agrawal said. The cause of its death will be known once the viscera report is out, he said. PTI
