Veteran actors team up for Azhiyatha Kolangal

Looks like the veteran actors in Kollywood are coming together for a film. We hear that Revathy, Archana, Easwari Rao, Prakash Raj and Nasser have been roped in for a film, which will be directed by MR Bharathi, a former journalist. Interestingly, the film is titled Azhiyatha Kolangal, which was also the title of late director Balu Mahendra���s debut film in Tamil.Azhiyatha Kolangal (1979) had Prathap Pothen and Shobha playing the leads.
A source close to the team, confirmed the news, saying, ���MR Bharathi is making his debut as a director. The film will have Prakash Raj, Nasser, Revathy, Archana and Easwari Rao playing the leads. Even though the film is titled Azhiyatha Kolangal, it doesn���t have anything to do with Balu Mahendra���s debut film. It���s not a remake either. Yesteryear actress Archana and Easwari Rao will be making a comeback in K���town with this film. The team will make an official announcement in a couple of days.��� Interestingly, all three female leads (Revathy, Archana and Easwari Rao) have been part of Balu Mahendra���s films, too.
