Divya Dutta is happy with response to her negative role in 'Chalk N Duster'

Post the nationwide release of 'Chalk N Duster', Divya Dutta is content with the feedback she's getting for her portrayal of the school principal Kamini Gupta.
Recalling her journey through the film in which she plays a negative role, the actress says, 'It was director Jayant Gilatar's faith in me to pull off this character with conviction that made it easier. It was a challenging role, in terms of the expressions, and the response assures me that I played it well.'

About her experience with Shabana Azmi and Juhi Chawla, who play school teachers in the film, Divya says, 'My connect with Shabanaji goes way back to the film 'Umrao Jaan', and I feel honoured to share screen space with her again in this film.As for Juhi, we bonded right from the first day and after that it only got better.'
Produced by Amin Surani under his banner Surani Pictures, 'Chalk N Duster' also features Zarina Wahab, Girish Karnad, Samir Soni and Arya Babbar while Rishi Kapoor, Jackie Shroff and Richa Chadha are seen in special appearances.
