Gandhinagar: Chief minister Anandiben Patel on Sa turday eve ning conve ned an emer gency cabinet meeting at her residence, which fuelled speculation of a possible cabinet reshuffle soon.
The CM held an almost two-hour meeting leading to much speculation, especially after the recent rumours of BJP national president Amit Shah taking over as Gujarat CM.

The meeting was held on Saturday , even as messages saying that Shah would be sworn in as CM on Sunday had circulated on Uttarayan day, i.e. Thurday .
If key sources in the state government to be believed, a major reshuffle in the state is on the cards and is expected to be announced later next week. It is also worth recalling that the CM on Friday had a one-hour meeting with Shah, where she reportedly discus sed changes in the state cabinet and the BJP's Gujarat leadership.
Earlier in the day , Patel and her senior cabinet ministers, state BJP president R C Faldu, BJP national vice president Purshottam Rupala, Gujarat BJP general secretary Bhikhubhai Dalsaniya, Rajya Sabha MP Mansukh Mandaviya, state vice president I K Jadeja and several key BJP leaders participated in the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Samanvay Baithak (co-ordination meeting).
The meeting was between different organizations like the RSS itself, the BJP , Bharatiya Kisan Sangh, Akhil Bhartiya Vidhyarthi Parishad (VHP), Durga Vahini, Bajrang Dal and other organizations.
Senior RSS leader Suresh Bhaiyaji Joshi chaired the meeting, which was also attended by key Gujarat RSS leaders like state in-charge Mukesh Malkan.
State ministers Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, Shankar Chaudhary , Vijay Rupani and others had also participated.
