JOIN USStudents of Presidency School, Bengaluru south, bagged the first prize in the Prajavani quiz competition that was organised at the Jnana Jyothi auditorium here on Saturday.
General Thimayya School in Madikeri, Sri Ramakrishna Vidyalaya in Hosanagara and Sharada Vidyalaya in Mangaluru stood second, third and fourth respectively. As many as eight teams from across the State took part in the quiz championship. Only those teams that qualified in the zonal level were chosen for the final quiz competition.
The first prize winners were given a cash award of Rs 25,000 each and a scholarship from the ALLEN Career Institute, which announced to provide students a 90 per cent discount in fee.
Second prize winners were awarded with a tablet and third, fourth prize winners were given gift vouchers.
The remaining four teams were also given consolation prizes and participation certificates. First prize winners Pranav Paraswar and Abhinav Hampiholi expressing their happiness, said the cash prize will be of great help to them to pursue education.
