Delhi CM Kejriwal Visits Martyrs’ Kin

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal presents a cheque to the family members of Ikaagar Singh, who was killed by terrorists, at Bhagwal village in Pathankot on Wednesday.

GURDASPUR – Aam Aadmi Party national convener and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal today visited the families of Pathankot martyrs, Fateh Singh and Kulwant Singh, at their villages in Jhanda Gujran and Chak Sharif.

He also visited the residence of taxi driver Ikaagar Singh at Bhagwal village. Ikaagar was allegedly killed by terrorists before they attacked Pathankot airbase on January 1.

The CM promised the driver’s wife that he would look for a government job for her in Delhi. “I salute our martyrs. They were the brave sons of our nation. They showed bravery to protect the country from extremist forces,” he said. Kejriwal said he would do everything to ensure that the families get their dues. He gave away cheques of Rs2 lakh each to the three families.

He was accompanied by party leaders Sanjay Singh, Ashutosh and Durgesh Pathak. State convener Sucha Singh Chottepur and HS Phoolka too were present.

The CM spoke at length with Fateh Singh’s daughter Madhur Radha Katal, a resident of Mhow. Madhur, who works as an English teacher, was on a vacation at the Air Force station when the attack took place.
