Kiku Sharda's arrest this week sparked outrage on how artistes were soft targets for religious groups while Imam Siddique's entry on Bigg Boss 9 stirred up things. Kiku Sharda loved by all for his portrayal of Palak/Laccha in Comedy Nights with Kapil was taken in judicial custody by the Haryana police because of a complaint filed against him by members of the Dera Sacha Sauda sect. He was charged with insulting their sentiments by mimicking their sect head, Baba Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh on a TV show. Kiku’s arrest sparked outrage with celebs coming out to support him. He was released on bail after his apology was accepted by the self-styled guru on social media. Actor Rajesh Vivek who was known for his role in Lagaan passed away due to cardiac arrest.

Darsheel Safary will make his debut on a fictional TV show by playing the role of a young lover in one of the episodes of Sun Yaar Try Maar.

Aakanksha Singh, whom we remember for her lovely performance in Na Bole Maine Tumne Kuch Kaha is reportedly all set to act in a new show, Ek Duje Ke Vaste.

Rumours did rounds that Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi is all set to shut shop in March. Actor Shakti Arora exclusively spoke to us on the same saying that there was no confirmation as yet from the channel.

Entries and exits

Jannat Zubair Rahmani was roped in to play the younger version of Amrita Rao on the show, Meri Awaaz Hi Pehchaan Hai.

Paridhi Sharma, who was last seen in Jodha Akbar is all set to be seen on shows like Fakebook with Kavita and Ji Sirji on Big Magic.

Resshmi Ghosh has made an entry in Sankatmochan Mahabali Hanuman as Kaikeyi one of Dashrath’s wives.

Manoj Chandila, who plays Manoj is reportedly going to make a comeback on Yeh Hai Mohabbatein.

Launches

Zee TV launched its new show, Meri Sasu Maa starring Hiba Nawab and Pearl V Puri with great fanfare. It talks about a motherless girl’s relationship with her mother-in-law.

Channel V also launched two shows Sadda Haq Season 2 and Mastaangi to cement its place in youth shows segment.

Injuries

Mahima Makwana better known as Manasvini from Adhuri Kahani Hamari suffered injuries on the sets but she was fine after a CT scan.

Amar Upadhyay hurt his elbow on the sets of Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, which needed dressing.

Aasiya Kazi also injured herself while performing in a show in Jodhpur.

Telly tracks

In Swaragini, we saw how finally Swara (Helly Shah) confessed her love to Sanskaar (Varun Kapoor) in the temple. Kavita (Nikita Sharma) made an exit from his life.

Ishita (Divyanka Tripathi) and Raman (Karan Patel) are desperately trying to figure out the actual mother of Rohit. They visit the lawyer, Mr Chadha (Lalit Bisht) whose wife has a connection with the baby.

Ranaji (Siddhant Karnick) in Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani was shown killing Sartaj (Vineet Sharma) to avenge the insult of Rajeshwari (Anjum Fakih). However, he will accidently killAvdesh Singh (Abhiram Nain)

Bigg Boss 9

Priya Malik was declared as the second finalist after Prince Narula for the finals. Fans of the show appreciated this news.

Mandana Karimi and Prince Narula had a fight after which she reminded him of Kishwer. Imam Siddique had to quell them down. He also mocked the transgender community on the show.

News broke out that Rochelle Maria Rao and Keith Sequeira might get engaged on the show.
