Newly-elected Municipal Councillor passes away

Kangra, Jan 15 (UNI) Newly-elected member of the local Municipal council Ashwani Kaka today passed away at PGI Chandigarh following a brief illness, family sources said here.
Ashwani Kaka, 47 , was elected to the Municipal council from Ward no 3 for the third consecutive term. He was supported by Dr Rajesh Sharma during the recent polls. On January 3, he got indisposed with liver ailment and was treated in a private hospital here for three days and on January 6, was referred to PGI where he passed away today.
Kaka was declared elected when he was in coma at PGI.
