MANGALURU: Holehonuru in Bhadravathi taluk in Shivamogga district recorded maximum rainfall of 3.5mm in last 24 hours up to 8.30am on January 15. Ravanduru hobli in Piriyapatna taluk of Mysuru district recorded maximum temperature of 35.7°C at 3pm on January 14. Gonibidu hobli in Mudigere taluk of Chikkamagaluru district recorded lowest minimum temperature of 9.8°C on January 15 from 7am to 7.15am, G S Srinivasa Reddy, director, KSNDMC said.

More than 90% relative humidity has been recorded in 40% geographical area in the state. Less than 25% of relative humidity has been recorded in 33.8% geographical area in the state. Dry weather condition prevailed all over the state. Very light rain was recorded rain in 29 gram panchayats and no rainfall over remaining 4,997 gram panchayats across the state.
Karnataka for the period from January 1 to January 15 recorded deficit rainfall of 91%. Against normal weighted average rainfall of 1mm in south-interior, north-interior, malnad and coastal parts, state recorded rainfall of 0mm. For 24-hours period ending 8.30am on January 15, four geographical regions received 0mm actual weighted average rainfall against normal weighted average rainfall of 0mm, a 93% deficit from the weighted-average normal.
