IMPHAL, Jan 14: A combined team of Imphal East district police commando and 45 Assam Rifles reportedly arrested three active members of KYKL on January 12 from Yairipok Nongbrang area during counter insurgency operation.
In a statement the PRO Manipur Police, stated that the KYKL cadre were arrested during search operation near the Community hall of Yairipok Nongbrang Mayai Leikai.
They have been identified them as one Konsam Imoba Singh alias Kanba, 37, son of (L) K Ibohal Singh of Tumokhong Mayai Leikai, Moirangthem Tiken Singh alias Sangainingthou alias Ojit, 30, son of (L) M Samungou Singh of Tumokhong Mayai Leikai and Leihaorongbam Ibomcha Singh alias Shaolin, 35, son of (L) Naba Singh of Tumokhong Makha Leikai.
Incriminating articles were reportedly seized from their possession, it said adding that a case has been registered at the Andro police and investigation is underway.
