A meeting of the District Level Committee(DLC) of Jal Kranti Abhiyaan was convened under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner Srinagar, Dr. Farooq Ahmad Lone today where it was decided to launch the Jal Kranti Abhiyaan 2015-16 in District Srinagar in 2 water stressed villages viz. village Batapora of Hazratbal Block and village Dara of Block Harwan. The District Development Commissioner stressed upon the members of the Committee to get the Action Plans in respect of activities pertaining to Irrigation, PHE, Watershed and Command Area etc under Jal Kranti Abhiyaan framed through the concerned Departments within one month for necessary implementation.Meanwhile, Assistant Commissioner Development, Srinagar was asked to frame the Action Plan in respect of ICE activities separately so that the same is submitted to the concerned Union Ministry for approval and subsequent implementation.
