Lalbagh flower show entry fee hiked

The horticulture department on Thursday announced revision of entry fee for the annual Republic Day flower show scheduled to be held at the famous Lalbagh botanical gardens from January 16.
The entry fee has gone up by Rs 10. Visitors to the 10 days flower show have to pay Rs 50 per person during weekdays and during Sundays and public holidays the entry fee is Rs 60.However, there has been no changes made to the entry fee for school students. Also, on January 19 and 26, school students can gain free entry to the flower show.
The flower show, which attracted more than 3 lakh people year, is expected to cross 4.5 lakh footfalls this time. The show will be open to public from 9 am to 6 pm everyday. Only on the inaugural day the show opens to public from 11.30 am.
