'Wazir' director Bejoy Nambiar’s next project will be a web series

Just before Wazir released, director  Bejoy Nambiar married his steady girlfriend Sheetal Menon.

And life couldn’t look any better for this director of dark urban tales. Interestingly, Sheetal figured in the the cast of Bejoy’s first two films Shaitaan and David but not in Wazir.

“That’s because she got busy with wedding plans,” says the filmmaker who has already moved on to his new project.

“It’s web-series for ErosNow. There will be 12 short films , all unrelated, but each with a spin at the end,” reveals Bejoy, who has also  done an hour-long film in an Indo-Pak omnibus produced by Shiija Kejriwal on behalf of Zee.

Says Bejoy, “It is an initiative to bring together a creative partnership from both sides. There are no related themes. Every director was given the freedom to make the film that he chooses to do.”

Besides Bejoy, the omnibus features films by directors Aparna Sen , Nikhil Advani,Tanuja Chandra and Tigmanshu Dhulia and from Pakistan Sabiha Samar, Meenu Farjad and Mehreen Jabbar.
