Minister for Textiles, Port and also district in-charge Baburao Chinchansur handed over vehicles, including sport utility vehicles, to beneficiaries sanctioned by the Tourism Department in Yadgir on Tuesday.
As many 61 vehicles have been sanctioned under the Special Component Plan and Tribe Sub Plan (SCP/TSP) for beneficiaries from the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other backward classes and minorities for 2012-13 and 2013-14.
Of these vehicles, 20, with related documents, were handed over to the beneficiaries today. The rest would be handed over later.
The former Minister and MLA A.B. Maalakaraddy, Deputy Commissioner Manoj Jain, Chief Executive Officer of the zilla panchayat Vikas Suralkar and Assistant Director of Tourism Department U. Jeetendranath were present.
