Khalsa Club to face BSF, MBS to take on 20-Punjab in Hockey semis

JAMMU, Jan 12: Defeating Guru Nanak Nagar Hockey Club (GNNHC) by four goals to three (4-3) today, MBS Hockey Club Simbal Camp became the fourth team to enter the semifinals of the ongoing District Jammu Senior Hockey Tournament, being organized by Hockey J&K at KK Hakhu Astroturf Hockey Stadium, here.
Now, in the semifinals, Khalsa Club Gole Gujral will take on BSF Kashmir and MBS Hockey Club Simbal Camp will lock horns with 20-Punjab on January 16, 2016 at the same venue.
Earlier, MBS Hockey Club defeated Guru Nagar Hockey Club in a close contest by (4-3).
For MBS, Ramnik Singh scored the 1st and 4th goals in 11th and 57th minutes, while the other two back to back goals were netted by Jaspreet Singh in 25th and 40th minutes of the match.
Gagandeep Singh scored the first goal for Guru Nanak Hockey Club in 1st minute, while the second and 3rd goals were scored by Sikander Pal Singh in 13th and 37th minutes respectively.
The matches were officiated by Charanjeet Singh, Karanjeet Singh, Gurjeet Singh, Kulwant Singh and Gurmeet Singh, while the Tournament is being held under the supervision of GS Bakshi, general secretary of Hockey J&K.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Rajinder Singh, treasurer Hockey India, MS Reen, Rajinder Singh, Raja Singh, Manjeet Singh and Janak Raj.
