Nayanthara to lend her voice for her next Malayalam film?
While Nayanthara’s onscreen avatars have been scintillating, she has not given her voice for any of her characters in Mollywood. However, all this could change with her next film Puthiya Niyamam, if everything falls into place.
We hear that the actress took time off her busy schedule in Kollywood to see Puthiya Niyamam, prior to its release later this month. However, the actress was not completely satisfied with the way the dubbing was done for her character, says a source close to the production team.
“She felt she could do a much better job of it and has offered to try and dub for herself,” says the source.
The film’s director A K Sajan confirms this, saying, “Nayanthara has expressed a desire to use her own voice. We will do a trial run three days later in a Chennai studio. If all goes well and her schedule permits, we would love to have her dub for her character.”
The team had finished the entire post-production work a few weeks ago. Lead actor Mammootty had dubbed his portions in December, before he left for London for the shoot of Uday Ananthan’s White.
Puthiya Niyamam’s release date was shifted from December to January. Now, with Nayanthara conveying her wish to lend her voice for the character, the crew might have to get back to work again. However, Sajan says, “We are all set for a January end release.”
The movie revolves around the life of an urban inter-faith couple played by Mammootty and Nayanthara.
