In a sluggish property market, developers are trying all tricks from the book to allure buyers. In an ongoing four-day property exhibition in Navi Mumbai, various freebies are being offered to attract the potential buyer. Among them are offers of free stamp duty and registration fee and a free trip to Dubai on booking a flat. Also, one can book a flat paying only 5% and rest of the amount at the time of possession.

"Potential buyers are in the market and they were waiting for the right time to buy their dream home. We are getting positive response and we're hopeful that this response will be subsequently converted into buying," said Rajesh Prajapati, MD, Prajapati Developers.

Prajapati added that he has been offering free stamp duty and registration at his Prajapati Magnum project in Dronagiri in Navi Mumbai. "If a person is buying a 2BHK house, then he gets a discount of Rs3 lakh; for a 3BHK, it is Rs5 lakh. The property market is in a revival mood now," he said.

Interestingly, Sai Paradise Developer has presented a unique theme of 'Karzan Cathedral of Russia'. The visitors at their stalls are being entertained with Russian tunes on the violin and Bollywood songs, besides offering of snacks and cocktail drinks. Manish Bhathija, MD, Sai Paradise Group, said: "We are developing our Panvel project on the Seven Wonders theme. As a result, my apartments are being sold," said Bhathija.

Manohar Shroff, vice president of Maharashtra Chamber of Housing Industry, Navi Mumbai, said that the market is in a revival stage. "I think this is the right time to buy property. More of 'wait and watch' can result in drilling more holes in the buyer's pocket," said Shroff.
