Former Apple India executive will soon launch an Android smartphone brand

NEW DELHI: Former Apple executive Sharad Mehrotra is co-founding a startup that will sell Android-based smartphones. Named Hyve, the startup also plans to launch a range of accessories in the Indian market.
Mehrotra was part of the Apple India team for 8 years and and held positions in the channel as well as the enterprise business of the company. His last position at the company was as the head of enterprise mobility.He worked at Airtel before joining Apple India.
The other co-founders of Hyve are Aditya Agarwal and Abhishek Agarwal.
“Sharad’s experience and competence will further add lot of value and scale to this venture, we are very confident and excited about this collaboration”, added Aditya Agarwal, founder MD Hyve.
The Hyve team also includes professionals from major distributors like Ingram and Redington.
