Hulu has acquired exclusive streaming VOD rights to three seasons of the British comedy-drama series “My Mad Fat Diary” from Endemol Shine Intl..

The International Emmy nominated series, which was produced by Tiger Aspect Productions for E4, will stream exclusively in the U.S. on Hulu.

Based on the real-life diaries of Rae Earl, the critically-acclaimed series is a coming-of-age show turning on an overweight, funny and music-mad 16-year-old in the mid-90’s Lincolnshire, at the height of the Britpop era.

Deal was negotiated by Endemol Shine International’s exec VP of sales and acquisitions, Matt Creasey, and Kelly Miller, content acquisition at Hulu.

Endemol Shine Intl. has also sold “My Mad Fat Diary”  to France and French speaking territories (AB Droits), Ireland (RTE), Israel (Hot), Belgium (VRT), Finland (YLE), Norway (TV2), China (v.qq.com), Mexico (Canal 22), South Korea (KT IPTV), Thailand (NOW26), India and Sri Lanka (Ogle) and Latin America (DLA), among other territories.
