A majority of the Congress-supported candidates won the municipal council elections in Kullu, Manali, Bhuntar and Banjar today.
Kullu SDM Rohit Rathore said the poll percentage of Kullu, Manali, Bhuntar and Banjar was 65.82, 61.12, 66.55 and 69.13.
Seven Congress-supported candidates won in Kullu, two seats were bagged by BJP-backed contestants, one by Himachal Lokhit Party (HLP)-supported candidate and one by an Independent.
Thirtythree candidates were contesting from 11 wards in the Kullu MC.
In Manali, five of the seven seats were won by the Congress-supported candidates while two seats were secured by the BJP candidates. Seventeen contestants were in the fray for seven wards of Manali.
In Banjar, five Congress-supported candidates stood victorious while two seats were won by the BJP-supported candidates. A total of 15 candidates were in the fray from seven wards.
