Deepti Sati to flaunt her tresses in her next

Deepti Sati is synonymous with ‘that tomboyish girl with short hair in Nee-Na’ for Malayali filmgoers.
The actress, however, is going for a new look in her next movie, which is going to be a Telugu-Kannada bilingual, titled Jaguar. “I feel as a newcomer I am lucky. My first movie Nee-Na had a completely fresh theme, and now this too is going to be a different kind of film.My look and character will be the right opposite of that of Neena,” Deepti says.
The reason why she took up the film, she says, is because it was so different from her debut in which she was shown as a bold girl with a devil-may-care attitude. Her new film will be the launch pad for Nikhil Gowda, former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda’s grandson and former Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy’s son. Rumours are also afloat that Katrina Kaif will be doing an item number in the film, though it is yet to be confirmed.
Meanwhile, Deepti says that she has too much of a connect with Kerala to move away from the industry completely. “People still tell me not to grow my hair, and to stay like Neena. I wish I could do that, but I can’t as an actress. I wish to do a nice Malayalam movie next.”
