Streaming site Netflix is now available in India, with monthly plans starting from Rs 500 for basic services and going up to Rs 850 for the 4K streaming option after a month's free trial.

While the content is dominated by Hollywood movies and series, the site has a section dedicated for the Indian audience. The site doesn't boast of many recently released Indian movies, but doesn't disappoint with its collection of almost 100 titles.

Here are the seven best Indian movies to watch on Netflix:

    1. Shahid: The Anurag Kashyap-produced 2013 movie is based on the life of lawyer and human rights activist Shahid Azmi, who was assassinated in Mumbai in 2010.
