Fazl to head Opp panel over CPEC reservations: APC

PESHAWAR - Leaders of various political parties unanimously decided to convey their concerns to Prime Minister by constituting a committee under Maulana Fazlur Rahman to address their reservations regarding China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
The JUI-F convened all party conference was attended by Chief Minister Pervez Khattak, Speaker KP Asad Qaiser, Mehmood Khan Achakzai of Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party, Aftab Sherapao of Qaumi Watan Party, Mian Iftikhar of Awami National Party, Iqbal Zafar Jaghra of PML-N, Ajmal Wazir of PML-Q and other leaders of JUI-F. In a joint declaration, Maulana Fazlur Rahman said that this route of china Pakistan Economic Corridor is a project of vital importance for all provinces and they want that their reservation on this project be addressed.
He said that the these reservations would be conveyed by a team led by Jamiat Ulam-e-Islam- Fazal comprising representatives from other political parties.
“The western route that is inaugurated by the prime minister is not according to declaration accepted at the APC convened by the Prime Minister on May 28, 2015 and we are demanding that it should be implemented completely by including the entire package,” he said.
“Besides, there is no indication about gas pipeline for industries, power lines, fibre optics, and railway track that changed our doubts into reality and proved that this is just a road not corridor,” Maulana Fazl added.
He maintained that without these projects, the road has no importance for the province and the federal government has to make sure that all these packages must be included.
He also asked the federal government to issue a declaration for addressing the reservations of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government. To a question, Maulana Fazal said that they are democratic people and wants to resolve the issue democratically.
“If the government fails to remove our reservations then we would decide future course of action,” he said. 
He added that they were not against the project and assured the government that political parties of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would support to complete this corridor.
