Bomb hoax on Rajdhani Express

Surat: New Delhi-bound August-Kranti Rajdhani Express was halted for 40 minutes at Valsad railway station following a bomb hoax on Wednesday.
An unidentified person called up the Mumbai Central station and said that there was as bomb in one of the coaches.
Sources said that the Rajdhani train going to Hazrat Nizamuddin was allowed to go after being checked thoroughly .The train, which usually arrives on platform number two at Valsad, was shifted to platform three where it was checked by the bomb disposal squad and the dog squad of the Valsad police.
"It was a hoax call. We received a message from Mumbai Central regarding the call. The train was checked thoroughly but nothing was found," said a railway officer at Valsad.
