    Take a holiday at the start of the year and you will be holidaying throughout the year. We suggest, it is the perfect time to plan your winter vacation. We bring to you, five of the best destinations in India you can visit this winter:

    Mount Abu: Rajasthan’s only hill station is known for its Dilwara Jain Temples, Achalgarh Fort and Nakki Lake. Diu: There are several forts, churches, chapels and beaches that tourists can visit in Diu. The Festa De Diu, Asia’s Longest Beach Festival is on till February 15, 2016. Chennai: Head to Chennai to enjoy the cool breeze and explore the city. If not, you can drive through the East Coast Road all the way to Pondicherry or stopover at Mamallapuram to enjoy the Mamallapuram Indian Dance Festival on till January 21, 2016

    Gangtok: The temperatures range between 15 to 17 degrees celsius, at times in the night it can get as low as 2-3 degree celsius. The best places to visit in Sikkim, besides Gangtok are, North Sikkim (Lake Gurdongmar; it will be a 3 day trip from Gangtok) and West Sikkim - Yuksom region. There is also this small town/village called Aritar, which is about two-three hours from Gangtok, and quite pretty. Udaipur: Home to Lake Pichola and the Fateh Sagar Lake along with its magnificent City Palace, Monsoon palace, Lake Palace and Jag Mandir, Udaipur is a royal city to visit.
