Arrangements to view Makaravilakku

The district administration has made elaborate arrangements to view Makaravilakku from Pulmedu on January 15.

Helpdesks will function at the taluk and village offices at Peerumade, in addition to the village offices at Kumily and Manjumala.

Temporary barricades will be erected at Pulmedu and Panchalimedu.

There will be light arrangements from Kozhikanam to Uppupara on the forest stretch of 11 km.

An elephant squad will be put on duty at Pulmedu and the Kerala Water Authority will supply drinking water free of cost to the pilgrims, according to a press release here on Wednesday.
