Betting organisers held

Hyderabad: Task Force sleuths raided a flat at Sultan Bazar and apprehended five persons organizing betting on Big Bash League (BBL) cricket matches in Australia.
Police arrested Kuldeep Singh, 28, of Mangalhat; S Chandra Shekar, 27, of Shahinayatgunj; Yashpal Sharma, 32, of Kacheguda; T Anil Singh, 36, of Dhoolpet, and R Ajay Kumar, 30, of Begum Bazaar.
Acting on a tip-off, police raided flat C-11 of Dilshad Plaza opposite Hanuman Vyayamshala at Sultan Bazaar and arrested the five for organising betting on the BBL cricket match between Adelaide Strikers and Perth Scorchers on Tuesday.
Police seized a TV, a set-top box, a voice recorder, 16 cell phones and Rs 19,100 cash from their possession. The accused were handed over to Sultan Bazar police for further investigation.
