AIADMK Legislature Party Deputy Leader and Uppalam MLA A. Anbalagan on Monday warned the government that he would take the people of his constituency to the go-downs where free mixers and grinders stocked and would distribute to them if the government fails to distribute them in a week.

Addressing reporters here, Mr. Anbalagan alleged large irregularities in the distribution of mixers and grinders to beneficiaries. The ruling government has been showing partiality in extending welfare schemes and other benefits including distribution of freebies to cardholders, he charged.

The AIADMK MLA said the people in his constituencies were ignored by the ruling government while it has been undue interest to extend the freebies only to the people in the constituencies held by the ruling party.

Mr. Anbalagan said when the people from the constituencies held by Opposition went to other constituencies to get freebies, the ruling party MLAs and officials scolded them. He also added that the venue of distribution, time and date ought to have been announced in transparent manner. Alleging irregularity in the distribution rain-relief assistance, the AIADMK MLA said the officials lacked systematic approach in rendering relief assistance to the people.

He also said his party would conduct agitation if the government fails to regulate the extension of relief assistance.
