Dempo edges out Minerva Academy 2-1, moves on second spot

Panaji, Jan 3( ( UNI) Dempo sports club scored a hard fought 2-1 win over Minerva Academy FC in their six round second division i- league national football match and thus moved on to the second spot with 12 points being played at Tilak ground vasco in south Goa today evening.
Dempo goals came through Bevan D’ Mello in the 2nd Minute and Milagris Gonsalves in the 61 st Minute. while Minerva Academy reduced the margin through Sehigpal Singh in the 88th minute.
Dempo avenge the defeat they suffered in the away match 0-1 against table topper Minerva . Despite the visitors defeat they maintained their position at the top of the table with 13 points and one point ahead of Dempo.
