Trailer hits bike, kills woman

A family, residents of Byculla in Mumbai, met with an accident while heading towards Mumbra to a relative's place. The family (man, wife and kid) was on a bike when a trailer hit the vehicle. The woman, who was in her 30's, died on the spot. The father and the daughter have got no injuries. The incident took place on December 29 around 12 pm near Kharegaon toll naka in Kalwa.

The deceased was then taken to the nearby civil hospital. A case has been registered with Kalwa police under section 304a (causing death by negligence ), 279 (rash driving or riding on a public way) and 337 (causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others) of the Indian Penal Code.

The accused have been identified as Naresh Prem Singh, 22, who is a resident of Panipat in Haryana. The accused works in transport business. The trailer's number is HR 67 – 8605.

The victims have been identified as Mohammed Kalim Siddhique Choudhary, 36, wife Mogam

A police official said, "We have arrested the accused. Further investigation is on."
