Taftan Volcano to Host Iranian and Foreign Climbers
ZAHEDAN (IRNA)- Secretary of the board of Sistan and Baluchestan Mountaineering and Climbing Sports, Javad Rasheki said that Taftan will host Iranian and foreign climbers from Feb 3, 2016.
Rasheki told IRNA that this 3-day program aims at introducing Taftan’s tourist attractions.
He said that 6 climbers from each Province are to take part in this event and climbers from 8 countries such as Turkey, Kazakhstan and Armenia have predicted participate.
Taftan has numerous mountain peaks among which the highest one is 4,050 meters. Climbing Taftan is possible during all four seasons of the year.
