Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis' wife Amruta is making her singing debut in forthcoming Marathi film 'Sangharsh Yatra', a biopic made on late Gopinath Munde's life. Those who have heard this banker, mother and trendy dresser's renditions, admit that her singing prowess is impressive.
Mi Marathi Ask Amruta what made her foray into films and pat comes the reply: 'Since 'Sangharsh Yatra' is a special film and very close to my heart, I immediately said yes to it.
I have sung an inspirational song which plays at many strategic points in the film directed by Sakar Raut.'
Saying hello to B-Town As the CM's wife, Amruta has been regularly seen hobnobbing with the jet-setters, including Bollywood directors and stars. But not many know that she has officially joined the Bollywood bandwagon now. She reveals, 'I have bagged two Bollywood projects. For
Prakash Jha's film I have recorded a spiritual song whereas for
Kunal Kohli's film, I have rendered a sensuous number.'
I miss Nagpur Having shifted base from Nagpur to Mumbai, Amruta says she has no intention of switching her banking job with that of a full time singer and adds; 'Till now I have recorded all the songs on weekends. I have no intention to quit my job or to take up singing full-time.' While she's pursuing her passion and profession deftly in Mumbai, Amruta is candid enough to admit; 'I really miss Nagpur. Mumbai is a city of myriad opportunities but Nagpur is the city where my true friends reside.'
