Belarus' U17 team secure draw in first game at Mac's AAA Hockey Tournament

MINSK, 28 December (BelTA) - The Mac's AAA Midget Hockey Tournament got underway in Calgary, Canada on 26 December with Belarus' U17 men's national team tying with Sherwood Park J Ennis Kings 5-5, BelTA has learned.

Sherwood Kings dominated the game up to the middle of the second period. The Belarusians managed to tie it 5-5 thanks to the goals from Vladislav Gabrus, Andrei Pavlenko (two goals), Ivan Drozdov and Igor Martynov. The game saw many penalties, which greatly affected its outcome.

Yevgeny Yesaulov's men will next play against Valley West Hawks, Calgary Northstars, and Prince Albert Mintos on 28, 29, and 30 December respectively.

The Mac's Midget AAA World Invitational Tournament is a prestigious ice hockey tournament held annually for midget aged players in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
