The historical Shaniwarwada was recreated in Kalwa (Thane) at a venue that sprawled across two acres.
And at this grand setting, son of businessman Mukund and Pramila Keni, Mandar tied the knot with Shivangi, daughter of the late Jayvant Mhatre. More than 15,000 guests, including Sharman Joshi, Neha Dhupia, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Sunil Tatkare, Dhananjay Munde and Aaditya Thackeray, dropped in to wish the couple.The grand set was erected by a prominent art director, and 100 people worked on it for 15 days to ensure it was a replica of the fort. While music performances entertained the guests, the menu comprised Maharashtrian fare. An entrepreneur and film producer, Mandar said, “Shaniwarwada used to be the headquarter of the Peshwas and symbolises the state’s culture. So, we chose this as the theme for our wedding.”
