Five persons of a family die of food poisoning

BHOPAL: Five persons of a family died of food poisoning in Damoh on Saturday. Five others are serious and battling for life in the district hospital. Police said the family had eaten bhajiya before all the family persons fell ill leading to death of half of the family members.
Similar incident had taken place in Panna earlier this month leading to death of three siblings.
Damoh incident took place in Neemkheda village of Patera block. All the family persons had fallen ill soon after eating bhajiya. They were rushed to hospital in Patera where Deeksha(10) , Kajal (12), Halli Bai (8) and Pushpendra (45), father of the kids, died .
Nibahu(70),Badi Bahu(65) Kalla (35), Maya(35) Gita( 39) and are still battling for life.
District collector Sriniwas Sharma ordered inquiry after villagers alleged the family did not get proper medical attendance.
