: The stretch of Mehrauli-Gurgaon (MG) Road from Bristol Chowk to IFFCO Chowk, with over a dozen malls and pubs, bars and discotheques, also known as the Mall Mile, will remain closed to vehicular traffic on New Year's eve, said an advisory issued by the Gurgaon Police.

With an aim to maintain public peace and law and order, the Mall Mile will be a “No Drive Zone” from 5 p.m. on December 31 till 2 a.m on January 1, 2016. To avoid inconvenience to the residents in the area, special entry stickers will be given to them. With the ban on vehicular traffic, the Gurgaon Police said that the revellers can park their cars at metro stations and at Leisure Valley Parking Ground. Buses would be arranged at Leisure Valley to take the revellers to various places. The police have advised the revellers not to mix drinking with driving as more than 50 traffic police check points would be set up across the city to check traffic violations.
