A man died on the spot after the two-wheeler he was riding was hit by a car near Doddabokikere in Kadur taluk on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as K.S. Girish (42) from Kadur. He was on returning to Kadur from Doddabokikere village, when the accident occurred. Driver of the car fled the place, leaving the vehicle behind. The Birur police have registered a complaint filed by K.N. Halappa, brother-in-law of the victim.
In another incident, a 24-year-old man died on the spot after falling from a moving tractor near Birur on Wednesday.
The police gave the victim’s name as Nataraj (24) from Birur. He had gone to work in an arecanut field near Birur. His mother Jayamma has filed the complaint.
