Police say the whereabouts of Silambarasan is still not known

The police are still waiting for a response from YouTube to its request to identify the person who uploaded the ‘beep’ song.

“We have not got any response from them. Once we know the IP address, we can track down the person,” said a police officer.

The police said the whereabouts of actor Silambarasan was still unknown.

“Based on the FIR we filed, we are still searching for him. We have not issued any look out notice against him,” said a senior police officer.

Meanwhile, with the city police on the lookout for Simbu, the actor’s mother, Usha Rajender, said that his family felt harassed.

In an emotional video running for over 12 minutes, she asked what mistake her son had committed that some people wanted him to be hanged. She said Simbu would not go anywhere.

“I don’t have the heart to leave Tamil Nadu as it has helped us grow. But we are not able to bear seeing our son being harassed and we wish to leave the State,” she said.
