New dacoit gang emerges, kills tourist
ALLAHABAD: A new dacoit gang led by Kamlesh Patel alias 'Mard’ is reportedly emerging on UP, MP border. The gang recently attacked a tourist bus near Bargada forest, under the jurisdiction of Nayagaon police in Satna district. A tourist was reportedly killed two others seriously injured in the attack on Friday night. The gang had attacked the vehicle when it was on way to Chitrakoot from Maihar.

Bundelkhand region, comprising ranges of Pathaam, Bharatkoop and Bargada, are echoing with activities of dacoit gangs. Raipura station officer Shrawan Kumar said that vigil was being maintained in the dacoit-infested belt, especially villages on UP and MP border. The police of both states have been exchanging inputs.
Officials said that apart from two major gangs of Babuli Kol and Gauri Yadav, three or four smaller gangs, armed with country-made weapons and sticks, were relying on petty offences like stealing cattle like goats, snatching or cutting crops of wheat or rice.
Officials claimed that name of Kamlesh Patel alias Mard has emerged as his activities are being noticed on the border of UP and MP. A police official added that more details about the new gang are being gathered.
